Financial Controller & FP&A leader on the CEO track

I spent more than a decade as a Financial Controller for multinationals, then left to build and run my own company. That is 14+ years across France and the UAE in multi-entity consolidation, IFRS, budgeting and scenario modelling, reporting to the CFO Middle East & Africa at JCDecaux, followed by full P&L ownership of a cross-border trading business. I am now looking to bring both sides into a senior finance role. SKEMA Business School (Paris); CMA candidate.

My path

A decade of discipline, then ownership

My background has two sides: about a decade of finance inside large multinationals, and then the experience of building and running my own business. I find the combination is what gives me a fuller picture of how a company actually works.

01

From multinational finance to founder

After about ten years controlling finance for multinationals (Sanofi, Accor and JCDecaux) across France and the UAE, I wanted something a controller rarely gets: ownership of a whole business. In 2020 I founded LEBON GRACE LLC, a cross-border trading company linking African markets with suppliers in the Middle East and beyond. I built the finance function from scratch and carried the P&L, cash flow and capital myself. Ten years of analysing other people's numbers turned into making my own calls, under real commercial pressure.

02

From founder back to senior finance leadership

Running my own company taught me something no controller role could: how every decision shows up in cash and margin. I have built a finance function, managed working capital and FX under pressure, and owned the outcomes rather than just reporting on them. I am now bringing that owner mindset back into a senior corporate finance role, where the multinational discipline (IFRS, multi-entity consolidation, FP&A) and the experience of running a P&L work well together.

Track record

A deliberately broad path to the CEO seat

Rotation across reporting, treasury, deals and operations - the cross-functional breadth boards weight above tenure.

  1. Founder & Managing Director - Finance, Operations & Business Advisory · LEBON GRACE LLC

    Jun 2020 - Present

The leap to ownership - from controlling others’ P&Ls to building and owning one end-to-end.

Dubai, UAE · cross-border trade & sourcing company bridging African markets with Middle East and global suppliers · full ownership of finance, strategy and operations

    • Ownership - founded and lead the company end-to-end, carrying the full P&L, cash flow and capital allocation across multi-currency Africa-Middle East transactions, and coordinating external accountants, tax advisers and banks for clean documentation and compliance support.
    • Finance function & reporting - built invoicing, collections, supplier-payment, expense and cash-flow tracking from start-up stage, with monthly management dashboards (gross margin, receivables, payables, cash position, supplier performance).
    • Internal controls & SOPs - implemented procedures for supplier onboarding, quote validation, purchase documentation, order approval, delivery evidence and after-sales claims, with a clear audit trail across every transaction.
    • FP&A, pricing & deal profitability - built pricing and deal-profitability models (supplier cost, logistics, duties, FX, payment terms, target margin) and scenario analysis on price, freight, FX and payment-delay risk.
    • Procurement & working capital - ran supplier due diligence and quotation comparison, and managed customer advances, supplier payments and logistics follow-up to control cash-flow and execution risk across four product lines.

Value-creation stories

How the numbers became outcomes

The CEO-ready signal: owning the result, not just supporting the plan. Each story is framed Challenge → Action → Result.

Consolidation & Control · JCDecaux MEA

One source of truth across a multi-country region

Challenge
JCDecaux’s Middle East & Africa subsidiaries reported on differing bases, making a timely, comparable view of regional performance hard for top management.
Action
Led the month-end close across all MEA subsidiaries, consolidated and standardised their reporting, enforced IFRS and Group internal controls, and challenged each P&L vs Budget and Prior Year with local Finance Managers.
Result
Delivered timely, accurate consolidated MEA reporting with meaningful margin and cash-flow variance analysis - feeding the 5-Year strategic plan and investment decisions for the region.
Cost Discipline · Sanofi Global IS

Bringing control to a €300M+ technology budget

Challenge
Sanofi’s global Information Systems function spent more than €300M a year in opex and capex that needed tight budgeting, control and compliance.
Action
Built the IS Department’s annual budget and forecasts, controlled staff costs and validated every supplier contract against internal-control procedures, and ran a clean month-end close (depreciation, accruals, prepayments).
Result
Gave management reliable visibility and control over a €300M+ technology spend, with disciplined cost analysis and activity monitoring extended to new entities.

A finance leader who builds the tools

Beyond the finance roles, I design and ship real products - AI-ready platforms and finance web apps. This is the tech and AI exposure behind the numbers.

AI-ready knowledge platform

Company OS

A company-agnostic, AI-ready knowledge operating system built on Obsidian - plain-text notes that power live dashboards, role-based access and document control, with the whole knowledge base exposed to AI agents.

  • 15 live dashboards querying plain Markdown notes in real time (Obsidian Bases) - no database, no vendor lock-in.
  • Role-based access (admin / editor / viewer) and ISO-style document control with automatic review-date tracking.
  • OKF-conformant and MCP-exposed, so AI assistants can search, read and update the knowledge base directly.
  • OSS-core stack (Obsidian + Git + Quartz) at near-zero recurring cost; any company adopts it by editing one config file.
